It took over 9 hours of blood, sweat and literally tears. Not a single moments hesitation, but many constant fowl words used throughout. After moving ornaments, dusting surfaces, cleaning surfaces, cleaning ornaments, unboxing things, moving things and simply grafting none stop throughout Friday... my house has finally been turned into a grotto Rudolph wouldn’t shake a carrot at! As pictured, you can now see my lounge is covered in festive animals, seasonal ornaments and many a thing which light up, spin round, snow and generally take electricity.
Very pleasing once done and something which is always admired by many. Maybe slightly ostentatious but more than a gallant effort I would have thought. Now I just need to go round the room and place batteries in those that require them. In the evenings the room is filled up with fibre optic delights and numerous LED’S and certainly is a rewarding sight after the sheer effort of erecting them all!
I’m not one for all the outdoor lights as in some cases it seems to only bring unwanted attention to your property. That doesn’t mean I like to see others though! Many a car journey up until January I shall find it more pleasing to look out of the window and nosy at people’s homes and displays rather than that of my iPhone screen. Some, maybe on the verge of tacky... yet with the commercialism Christmas brings, it is a rarity to find something which is elegant and tasteful. All the same, however as long as there is a Santa, Snowman or even a Reindeer in sight then it is good enough for me!
