Bus fares not fair!

How shocked and riled I was when I requested a simple one way ticket to Bolton and was then asked for the amount of £3.50 by a bus driver who was lacking manners on every possible level. Gone are the days of return tickets and quite frankly £7 for 2 simple journeys is  beyond ridiculous. After much enquiring I’m then told a Day Saver is remarkably cheaper at just £4 something. I’m clearly out of touch with public transport! I don’t mind paying the money if I get a simple smile, basic manners and a pleasant journey... I’m afraid I got none.

Grouchy screwed up faces greeted me on both to and from my desired location, manners were dramatically lacking and the rides were just simply not up to standard. All those reasons simply prove points that the public transport system needs a massive shakeup and a major overhaul! The buses are past their best and I seemed to find myself on a bus of peculiar looking folk, isn’t it amazing how many oddities there are? I being me, stared out of the window and simply people watched and allowed the world to go by... let’s hope next time the journey is more pleasant. Let me also wish that the arrogant driver doesn’t stop in the damned same place again on a main road to flick through the morning’s tabloids! Maybe I should walk next time?
