Never have I felt so immensely drained as this year struggles to conclude in the most simplest of forms. Numerous times this week, I catch my hair looking ever so dishevelled in the mirror as my reflection doesn’t portray perfection... in my own head of course. Despite my worries and if your good selves decide to give my blog a read for this week, you shall know that I am thoroughly in the Christmas spirit with nearly every Christmas present bought in its tightly wrapped cellophane packaging. Never has it been so easy to buy something than it is in these technology filled times. I managed to hit the Manchester markets this week and I know of some people who have been there up to 5 times already! If you haven’t yet seen the thrilling site of the hustle and bustle and many a city man taking part in a glass of mulled wine then you simply have not yet lived! Immediately I became engulfed with the Christmas feeling phenomenon and despite my mum becoming victim to a £13 charge for a bag of handmade “pick n mix” sweets then it was an enjoyable day all round.
The same unfortunately cannot be said for that of the weather. Never has there been so much hailstone from above to hit ground level in the space of a week. I am sick of hearing the slashes of rain water, hailstone, sleet and whatever else hitting the windows in my house... at ever such a loud rate. Winter is seemingly here and all appropriate clothing has been dug out from our overly cluttered wardrobes. Winds have apparently reached up to 90MPH in some areas of Northern England so hopefully with all your roof slates intact you could possibly take a gamble as to whether or not we shall have a white Christmas this year round or not?
