In a world where our young children are looking upon the likes of Katie Price as role model it fills you with disgust and anger to think that a woman who is constantly on front pages and relies on the up most perfect acrylic nails in this day and age is branded as a “Star” and a “Celebrity” For doing absolutely nothing other than having public relationships whatsoever. She demands, she argues and she insists... sadly with nothing to backup her astonishing escapades. It is the likes of another Katie who is and shall always be the true definition of a “Star!” Katie Piper was the victim of a tragedy. Back in March 2008 she was in a vicious and shocking attack when she had Sulphuric acid thrown into her face. Her future was questionable, her quality of life was in doubt... yet now aged 28 she is more positive than ever and has somehow managed to turn such an horrific incident into a positive mark on her life. This week, the real role model turned up in Sheffield to open a new burns unit at the Northern General Hospital.

Speaking of her attendance, she said:

“It’s been a really fantastic day and it’s been wonderful to meet all the team here. I know how much of a team effort it is to treat burns patients and the teamwork going on here is really evident.
“It’s an honour to be invited to open the unit here. As a patient, burns care is something very close to my heart. I wish the staff here every success in the future.”

Katie now devotes her life to helping others in similar situations in helping them to move on from such a horrible experience which no one other than the victim themselves could ever imagine.
Delightful, charming, sensitive and honourable. This is the type of person our youngsters should be looking up to. Not the usual plastic professionals who have somehow managed to make millions from doing nothing other than managing to wear Ann Summers wares to perfection. I present to you the true definition of somebody who really is a true definition of the word “Star!”
