My dad has this week purchased himself one of those iPad gizmo’s. Of course I am totally excited that he is joining me and dragging himself into the year 2011 with one of the “must have” pieces of tech, yet I am prepping myself to give him the “Matt Howarth Technological Crash Course!”
He is quite technically minded, though I think I would be safe to say he knows more about the insides of a computer rather than how to use one to its full potential. I am hoping he picks up the techniques of how to slide his finger left & right... drag things, touch things and quite literally get ever so personal with the moving and flashing on-screen icons, rather quickly! I suppose this shall be the ultimate test as to whether or not the supposedly “easy to use” concept is just that. How thrilling it shall be when I am able to use the likes of “Facetime” & “iMessage” with my own dear father. Apple have turned into a fashion accessory in recent times and if you’re the unlucky one to be sat on the likes of a train without one of the highly sought after products... you’re seemingly the one of a minority who is missing out! At least my dad is joining the year 2011 technology wise in style, sophistication & just that little bit of class. Technology comes at a price of course, though I shall simply excuse that by playing the “it’s an investment” card... the future of computing in the palm of your hands, good on him I say!
