Forced Indoors!

What a dreadful week it has been weather wise! I of course shall be in an extreme minority who is willing to declare his sheer hatred at the blazing sun rays and the average high temperature us Brits have seen this week of 29.0C. I hope there are others amongst us that cannot share the joys of the blazing heat apart from me! I find it completely unbearable. My planned day out last Saturday had to be cancelled at the last minute... why? Because I was in an utter sweaty state!

The temperature in my house seemed to be creeping up a degree or two by the minute, leaving me to feel as if I had woken up in not just a horrific dream, but a walk around sauna! Of which I haven’t ever tried and I can only think it to be a complete nightmare. The sheer thought of having to struggle out of the front door only to be greeted by overpowering sun rays giving an immediate migraine was something I didn’t intend to make a reality. Why on earth would you want to drag yourself out of the house in unflattering clothing feeling far from okay? Slightly different story abroad of course as it is a different type of heat, though saying that I cannot understand why anybody would want to disappear to the likes of Cyprus, Spain or Jamaica for sun, sea and sand! I would much prefer to head over to Iceland or the Antarctica and shake a few Polar Bear’s paws along with being greeted by mounts of the white cold stuff! Whilst my day out may have been scuppered by the likes of the sun, I am feeling ever so hopeful that I won’t have to see it again in that state until at least next year... Sun in October is just ridiculous anyway! I am now hoping for gales, rain and hail, anything as long as it is under 18.0C! For those who enjoy it... I hope you had a lovely week of bathing in rays on a deckchair on your lawns!
