Matt Howarth, This Week

Matt HowarthWhat an enjoyable week it has been. I feel as if my brain has been working around the clock none stop, full of fresh and exciting plans which I hope to make a reality... though of course having a slight sense of realism about them all, so not to be to naive. Other than also being rather sleep deprived and therefore ill as a result it has been one of those weeks of just living the days and experiencing life’s little pastimes!

Topic wise this week, I discuss how prisoners at HMP Parc Prison in Bridgend have issued a formal complaint in regards to their lack of Sky Sports channels in their cells. According to an ASDA Supermarket Survey, a traditional British roast dinner is now the nation's favourite dish. Curries have slipped down to third in popularity, I review the findings. Another survey this week shows that Men have lost their stereotype of being handy around the home... is the pressure of everyday work making men lose their once Do It Yourself skills.

Over on my website this week, I discuss and review the USA incarnation of The X Factor, the ratings for the launch were only 12 million... is it time talent search based shows came to an end? Manchester based soap actor Antony Cotton signs a 12 months based contract to stay with the show, but is the once British Institution declining in popularity as well as viewers? I unveil the worst TV Show I have ever seen, ITV’S classic Saturday night show Stars in their eyes is set to return... the only downside is Christine Bleakley presenting!
