Lynn Mercer contacted Atherton Online to enquire what has happened to the Just Looking fashion store on Market Street due to it being closed.
Owing to the owners death a couple of months ago I believe it was decided to close the store completely. Such a shame that yet another iconic store on our now scarce High Street has been taken over by grey shutters! not to worry though as I’m sure we shall be granted yet another eatery for our convenience. Maybe Atherton could be the new takeaway hotspot? we cannot be that far behind Manchester now... we have far too many Pizza Shops and Chippy’s on the small little street it has become obscene. Though when I stumbled up the street the other day it seemed it was a pizza takeaway store was the only shop full of people... maybe just a pure sign of the times?
