Forecasters and Weather experts have said that Britain shall experience Winter early this year, with major below average cold temperatures set to hit us in October. The next 3 months shall see the temperature plummet more so than that of the last 2 / 3 years.
James Madden, of Exacta Weather, said:
‘I expect to see the first signs of some moderate to heavy snowfalls as early as October or November in certain parts of the UK.
‘I expect December, January and February to experience below-average temperatures, with the heaviest snowfall occurring within the time frame of November to January across many parts of the UK.
‘Huge swirly low-pressure systems also offer the potential for widespread disruption from heavy snowfall across many parts of the UK including the South, as they clash with the predominant cold air.’
He added that Scotland and the North would face the worst weather, including possible ‘blizzard-like conditions’.
Last year saw temperatures in the UK around the time of December sank to below -19C with 30 inches of snow.

I of course can see the look of disapproval on most readers faces, but I ask you to simply get into the spirit of things! there is nothing better in the lead up to Christmas and weeks after of getting up in the mornings, peeping through your bedroom curtains to see neighbouring properties and buildings being covered in the white, cold stuff!
I could not live in places such as Australia where they decorate their Christmas Trees in the midst of blazing heat... it just isn’t the same!
I for one am looking forward to digging out the Winter Wear... the long woollen coats and thick knit jumpers are upon us... in-fact I’m already wearing jumpers at this stage in the weird but wonderful weather game. I’m hoping for another “Cold, Cold Christmas” as Dana used to sing... yet also a satisfyingly cold Winter to boot. Then of course around 5 weeks until we are faffing with the clocks, of course a faff yet I find the short, dark days somewhat pleasing... how weird am I!
