Today saw a successful ATSA squash taster session take place at Howe Bridge Sports Centre in Atherton. Fourteen children from four local schools took part in the event which was led by Lymm Squash Academy coach and local headteacher, Mr D McCann.
Children from St. George's Central, Sacred Heart, St. Ambrose Barlow and Tyldesley Primary took part in the session. The children participated in a variety of footwork activities, finishing off with some small games against a partner.
I would like to thank Mr McCann and supporting coach, Mr T Bulmer, for providing an excellent session, catering and meeting the needs of all the children present. Thanks also to Simon and all the staff at Howe Bridge Sports Centre for hosting the event.
Should your child be interested in continuing or starting to play squash then they should contact Lymm Squash Club's Chairman, Rob Spurr ([email protected])
The picture above shows the children who took part, together with Mr McCann and Mr Bulmer.
