ATSA Sports Council Q&A with Leigh Centurions

Thursday 12th November 2015 saw members of the ATSA Sports Council take part in a Q&A session with Leigh Centurions' stars Harrison Hansen, Mickey Higham and Cory Paterson at Try Fitness gym in Leigh.

The players were made to work hard as the children came prepared to the session with a whole host of questions on a variety of rugby based topics. All three players responded well as they were asked about their role models in sport when they were growing up and also gave advice for people wanting to become professional sportsmen and women. There were also more specific questions about Leigh's chances of making Super League next season and the topical question of why they chose to play rugby league instead of rugby union!

The council members were then treated to a personal training session from Micky Higham, co-owner of Try Fitness gym.

I would like to thank Harrison, Micky and Corey for giving up their time to take part in this session. They were fantastic in answering all the questions and all of the advice they gave supported so many of the key messages we give to children in school. I would also like to thank everyone at Try Fitness, especially Micky Higham for arranging and hosting this event on behalf of ATSA. The picture above shows the children who attended the session.
