With the recent forum post about Pretoria Pit, I thought it would be interesting to read about the histories of the pits round here.
I found this article from OnLine Parish Clerks for the County of Lancashire that I thought the other members of the site might also be interested in reading. Does anybody know of anymore sites with good information about our mining history? If so, post the link in the comments section. Thanks!
