Two women kicked another woman to the floor in a violent robbery in Golborne, Wigan.
On the evening of Saturday 21st January 2012, the 20-year-old woman was walking home from
work along Lowton Road when she was kicked to the floor from behind.
Two women then launched into an attack on her trying to rob her handbag while punching and
kicking her.
The victim managed to fend the attackers off and protect the bag.
The woman had a number of bruises and was left badly shaken up.
Both offenders are white women in their mid-20s, about 5ft 6in tall, with dark hair pulled back and
of slim build. One was wearing a lot of dark makeup, a red Puma Tracksuit, Ugg style boots and
gold hooped earrings.
Her accomplice was also wearing a lot of makeup and had a large, prominent nose. She had
several piercings in her ear and was wearing a purple jumper, jeans and Ugg style boots.
Police Constanle Lynsey Watson said: "Clearly the offenders are reckless and are willing to use
violence to steal. They need to be caught as soon as possible.
"As Lowton Road is a busy road we are appealing for any witnesses who saw the attack to call
us"
