Police investigate after man dies in Leigh

Police are investigating after a man died in Leigh.

At 2.40am on Sunday 27 February 2011, police were called to Henry Street, Leigh, following reports a man had been found collapsed in the street.

Officers attended and discovered a man, believed to be in his 40s, with head injuries.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance but died a short time later.

Henry Street has been closed while investigation work at the scene takes place.
