Armed robbers fled empty handed following a raid on a travel agents in Atherton.
At about 9.20am on Wednesday 23 February 2011, robbers smashed their way into Thomas Cook on Market Street using a hammer.
Once inside they demanded cash and began searching a number of drawers.
The offenders ran off empty handed and got into a silver car, possibly a Mercedes, which was parked nearby.
The first offender is between 5ft 8in and 6ft tall, of average build, in his late teens to early 20s and wearing a black hooded jumper.
The second offender is described as white, 5ft 6in tall, of slim build and in his late teens or early 20s.
Detective Constable Steve Byrom, of Wigan CID, said: "Thankfully nothing was stolen but the robbers have shown clear intent by smashing into the travel agents and threatening staff.
"The offenders have no qualms about making innocent people, who are trying to earn a living, fear for their lives and I want to hear from anyone who can help us identify them so we can get them behind bars where they belong.
"If anyone thinks they know who is responsible please come forward as we will treat all information in strict confidence."
