Police have recovered two bikes that are believed to be stolen and are appealing for the rightful owners to come forward and claim them.
On Thursday 18 November officers in Hindley recovered a Mongoose mountain bike and on Friday 19 November a Peugeot mountain bike was seized at an address in Atherton.
Inspector Anne Scott of the Hindley Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) said: "We return stolen property whenever we can, but with these bikes we have exhausted our enquiries and can't find the rightful owners. We are therefore asking people to come forward and claim them, as they are in good condition and may have to be destroyed if they're not claimed. This would be a real shame as they may be someone's Christmas present."
Police say the bikes will only be released to people who can produce either a matching serial number or valid receipt.
