Atherton man wanted on warrant - Grant Schofield

Update: This male has been caught and is now is custody.

Police are appealing for the publics help to trace a man wanted on warrant.

Grant Schofield of Atherton, was due to be sentenced on Wednesday 20 October 2010 for criminal damage, however he failed to appear at Liverpool Crown Court.

A warrant has now been issued for his arrest.

Officers also want to speak to Schofield in connection with a theft from a car in Bolton in August 2010.

Police Constable James Mitchell said: "Grant needs to face up to his crimes and accept his sentence so I would appeal to anyone that knows where he may be to contact police.

"Harbouring a wanted man is a criminal offence so I would also remind anyone that is hiding Schofield out of some sort of misguided loyalty to do the right thing or they could also be in trouble."

WANTED: Grant Schofield

Anyone with any information about Schofield's whereabouts is asked to call police on 0161 856 7329/7154 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
