Police are taking tough action to crackdown on criminals following a rise in burglaries and thefts on several local industrial estates.
Offenders have recently targeted a number of businesses on Miry Lane Industrial Estate, Pagefield Industrial Estate and Cricket Street.
In response, the Pemberton Neighbourhood Policing Team has stepped up their patrols in the area and plain-clothes officers have been gathering intelligence to identify suspects.
A mobile police station will be set up in crime hot spots so residents can speak to officers about any concerns or information they have. Police will also be giving out crime prevention advice and contact numbers for people to report anything suspicious.

Officers are using automatic number plate recognition technology to target drivers and are patrolling main routes to catch criminals operating locally and those driving to other areas to commit burglary and vehicle crime.
A crime reduction adviser will also be working with local businesses to give them advice on
how to keep criminals at bay.
Sergeant Ian Arrowsmith of the Pemberton Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "We are doing everything we can to catch those responsible for the recent thefts and burglaries and make it as difficult as possible for them to strike again.
"A number of these crimes continue to go unreported so I would urge residents to come forward with any information they might have.
"Crime will not be tolerated in the area and we want to send out a clear message to criminals that the net is closing in and they will be brought to justice."
Any members of the community witnessing any suspicious activity in the area can report it to police by calling 0161 872 5050, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Always call 999 in an emergency where there is a threat to life or crime in progress.
