A man has been charged with a robbery in Wigan.
Paul Bentham (born 05/06/1985) of Bridgewater Street, Hindley, Wigan, has been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery.
He is due to appear at Wigan Magistrates' Court on Saturday 18 September 2010.
The charges relate to an incident at about 8.30am on Friday 17 September 2010, where men threatened staff at the Total garage on Warrington Road with machetes and baseball bats. The men escaped in a mini, were pursued by a police officer in a patrol car and then chased on foot by the officer.
