Man, 58, injured following collision

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after a collision with a taxi in a Leigh car park. 

Shortly before 4am on Sunday 8 August 2010, police were called to a car park near King Street, following reports of a collision. 

Officers attended and found a 58-year-old man had been in collision with a private hire Vauxhall Zafira. 

The man was taken to hospital for treatment to a broken leg, a broken arm, a broken ribcage and a punctured lung. 

A number of witnesses have come forward but traffic officers are appealing to anyone else who may have information to call them on 0161 856 7201.
