A man has died following a traffic collision in Howe Bridge, Leigh.
Shortly after 1pm on Friday 9 July 2010, police were called to the junction of Lovers Lane and Atherleigh Way following reports of a collision.
Officers attended the scene and found that a Fiat Punto had been in collision with a motorbike.
The rider of the motorbike, a 36-year-old man, was taken to hospital but died from his injuries a short time later.
Nobody else was injured in the collision.
Lovers Lane has been closed to traffic between Wigan Road and Atherleigh Way, and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
