Detectives are trying to trace two women who came to the aid of a rape victim in Wigan. 

Sometime between 12.30am and 1am on Friday 26 March 2010, a 20-year-old woman was raped in The Boulevard. 

The woman was helped by two other women outside the nightclub. 

A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in police custody. 

Detective Sergeant John Davies, of Wigan CID, said: "The victim is clearly very distraught at what has happened and I am eager to trace the two women who helped her shortly after the attack to come forward as they may be able to assist with this investigation."
