Wanted - Daniel Rigby - Wigan

Daniel RigbyPolice are hunting a man who breached his licence.

Police in Wigan are now appealing to the public to help locate Daniel Rigby, who is on the run.

Rigby, 22 is wanted for breaching the terms of his licence.

He was sentenced to 18 months in a young offenders institute in September 2009 for assault, and released on licence on 2 March 2010. He was recalled to prison on 7 March 2010 for failing to return to his bail hostel in Bury, and has remained at large since then.

Police are now appealing to anyone who knows of his whereabouts to come forward.

Community Beat Manager Dave Wooldridge said: "Rigby has been on the run since he failed to return to his bail hostel, knowing that breach means he has to go back to prison to complete the rest of his sentence.

"I would urge anyone who knows of his whereabouts to call police so we can find Rigby and send a message that anyone who breaches their licence will end up back behind bars."

Anyone with information should call Greater Manchester Police on 0161 856 4180 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
