Police have now released CCTV stills of the offenders to try and stop them in their tracks.
The woman is described as white, in her 30s, about 5ft 10in tall, with black tied-back hair and wearing a black jacket, black skirt and brown scarf. She spoke with an eastern European accent. The man was also white, in his late 30s, about 6ft tall with short black hair and wearing blue jeans and a black V-neck jumper. He is also believed to be eastern European.
Police Constable Ryan Davies said: "It is clear this was a calculated plan by these two thieves, who were determined to get the woman's card details and use them to line their own pockets.
"It is a cowardly crime and although the woman will be able to claim the money back from her bank, it was still upsetting to have been tricked in this way.
"What we now need to do is catch these two people and stop them from targeting anyone else. We will pursue this couple for as long it takes and with the public's help we can track them down and stop their criminal enterprise.
"I would ask that if anyone recognises the people in the CCTV stills, or thinks they may have seen this couple in their community, then please call us. I would also ask people to take heed of a few safety tips when using either an ATM or entering their card details into a chip and pin device so they do not fall prey to this sort of crime.
"Greater Manchester Police works closely with the banking industry to combat this type of fraud, and many banks have CCTV coverage of their ATMs so that offenders like this can be caught on camera. Now that we have these pictures I would again ask the public help us to find these people and come forward if they have any information."

SAFETY TIPS
When using an ATM, check to see if anything is out of place, loose, or has a device attached you do not recognise. If in doubt, do not insert your card and find an alternative machine.
When entering your details, check to see if anyone is stood directly behind you and if possible, use your free hand to shield the console so no-one else can see what numbers you are inputting.
Never give your PIN details to anyone else.
