Operation Sabre was launched to find the people responsible for 1,600 crimes. Below is an update on how the operation is going.
Police are no longer searching for Michael James McDonagh (13/12/1983) Mohammed Sakander Farooq (16/10/1986) Philip Mortlock (11/04/1952) Martin Stephan, Louise Wickstead, Michael Cash or Alan Warburton.





Martin Barry Stephan (29/12/84), from Wigan presented himself to police following the media appeal. He has since been eliminated from enquiries.
Two people have been charged following an appeal to trace people wanted in connection with offences across Greater Manchester.
Alan James Warburton (30/09/1977), of Gloucester Avenue, Horwich, has been charged with battery and criminal damage and is due to appear at Bolton Magistrates' Court on 1 March 2010.
Michael James Cash (05/11/1988), of no fixed address has been charged with taking a motor vehicle without consent and two counts of burglary and was due to appear at Stockport Magistrates' Court on 23 February 2010.
A 57-year-old man wanted by police in Rochdale on suspicion of theft and burglary has been bailed until 19 April 2010.
A 23-year-old man wanted by police in Bolton following an assault on a 28-year-old woman who was pushed to the ground during an incident on St Helens Road, Bolton on 02 September 2009 has been bailed until 7 March 2010.
No further action has been taken against a 26-year-old man who was wanted in connection with an assault on a 19-year-old woman at a house on Longford Street, Abbey Hey on 2 December 2009 or a 22-year-old woman from Wigan wanted after a 47-year-old woman was assaulted at a house on School Lane, Wigan in July 2009.
